Scenario
Susan is 18-years-old n a steady relationship with her boyfriend Paul and had
found out she is 12 weeks pregnant. This pregnancy is unplanned and she has
decided to 'keep the baby'. Susan expresses concerned at her lack of feelings
for her 'baby', Paul wants to be a father to his child but is very ambivalent
about communicating to a long-term relationship. He is worried about the impact
of the child on his plans to go to university next year.
1. Apply your knowledge of the psychological tasks of adolescence to an analysis
of the potential risks and benefits of adolescent parenting.
2.Consider the physical, socioemotional, moral and cognitive development so the
adolescent and the adolescents most at risk of finding themselves in this
situation.
3. You may consider the situation of either Susan or Paul in your answer
