School Motto
Work harmonized with Prayer and accomplished in Love in imitation of the Family of Nazareth.
Siervas De San Jose Foundation
The congregation of the Siervas de San Jose is a religious and apostolic institute founded by Francisco Butiña, SJ, and Bonifacia Rodriguez Castro in Salamanca, Spain on January 101874 and approved by Leo XIII on July 1,1901.
The congregation was born in the second half of the nineteenth century, the age of Industrial Revolution and economic liberalism, a time when Mother Church needed to incarnate an evangelically based response to the increasing needs and rising expectation of the exploited class.
SSj Charism
Called to perpetuate the life of Jesus who, together with Mary and Joseph, worked in Nazareth, the SSJ would want to give to the Church and in the society of all time an evangelical response to the world of work.
To evangelize and develop the poor working world.
To bear witness and to proclaim the good news of work as vocation to build more just, more human and more fraternal social order.
To prevent from falling into all kinds of slavery the poor jobless women, and to educate them so that they could face life and work with dignity.
